AI Security API Rate Limits

Rate limits throttle the number of API requests you can make. All endpoints within the AI Security API are subject to a rate limit of 100 requests per second, per tenant. When the rate limit is exceeded, a 429 Too Many Requests response along with rate limit headers is returned. Clients should inspect the response headers and implement exponential backoff.

The AI Security API sends the following rate limit headers in responses:

  • x-ratelimit-limit: The maximum number of requests allowed per minute.
  • x-ratelimit-remaining: The number of API requests remaining for the current rate limit window.
  • x-ratelimit-reset: The Unix epoch timestamp (in seconds) when the rate limit resets.
